Journal Club

Welcome to Journal Club

Journal Club is a space of scholarly community where graduate students, usually from the Arts & Sciences, present on their research or any other academic topic of interest. It's a great way to learn about work in other fields, practice presenting for a friendly and interdisciplinary audience, as well as to socialize with your colleagues from across different programs.

We hold weekly meetings on Thursdays, with doors opening at 5:30 pm and the talk starting at 6 pm. The talks are in McGlothlin Hall, Room 020, and it will also be streamed on Zoom, so watch your email for the link if you are unable to make it in person. Journal Club will return to providing food and drink before the talk—please bring a reusable cup! Per William & Mary's guidelines, masks are optional.

The current co-organizers are Heather Baier and Andrea Zourou. Contact Journal Club for more information. Follow GSA Journal Club on Facebook for updates (or see the feed below). Sign up here if you would like to give a presentation. Sign up here if you would like to volunteer to help out, such as picking up pizza, checking IDs or moving Journal Club to a more eco-friendly footprint.
